DIAGNOSTICS AND FLAW DETECTION
With the sections, built by the method of analysis of the field backscattered electromagnetic waves, you can make diagnostics of building structures, to evaluate changes in moisture, to provide heterogeneity, cavities, hidden defects, areas of fracturing, etc.
Figure 1 shows the result of automatic processing of GPR profile obtained by georadar survey basement walls, built of concrete foundation blocks. On the distribution of values of dielectric constant and the width of the range for this attribute, you can judge the moisture content and homogeneity of the object (red and black woodpecker of of the section correspond to a dry concrete).

Fig.1
The upper part of Figure 2 shows radarogramma obtained with georadar survey reinforced concrete walls. In the sequence obtained by automated processing radarogrammy program GEORADAR-EXPERT can visually judge the degree of hydration of various sections of the studied building construction.

Fig.2
Figure 3 shows the result of processing the profile presented in the previous example, in the form of the distribution of values of Q-factor. Higher values of this attribute correspond to the defective areas within the building structure. As a rule, places with high Q-factor can be characterized by increased fracturing, the presence of hidden cavities or decompression.
